A couple days ago, Disney extended the "Kids Stay and Play Free" promotion to September and part of October.  It looked like this may be the extent of Disney's fall promotions, as we kept hearing rumors about a Free Dining Plan promotion, but never saw anything solid to confirm the rumors.

Maybe a sign of a recovering economy.

This year only the kids will eat free, but they'll also stay and play free! Kids Stay, Play & Dine FREE at Disney World Disney just released a discount, during those dates that includes free Quick Service Dining for kids. This discount promotion is currently only for Disney Visa Cardholders, but we will certainly contact you by email if this discount is released to the general public.

How do you get a Disney Deluxe resort room for the price of a Moderate resort?

Well, it's a bit of a trick we like to use for longer vacations at Disney World.

If we're staying on property for an extended period of time, say 7 nights or more, we like to split up our stay between two resorts to save money and live like kings at Disney World.  For the first few nights, we stay at a Value resort, like our favorite, Disney's Pop Century.  Then, we end our vacation at one of Disney's Deluxe resorts, like Disney's Wilderness Lodge or Contemporary.

By doing this, we significantly reduce our resort costs while ending our vacation with a bang!  You "suffer" (staying at any Disney resort is never suffering!) through a short stay at the Value resort and then enjoy all the luxury and convenience of a Deluxe resort.  What a difference this makes and you get a Disney Deluxe resort for roughly the same cost as staying at a Disney Moderate resort for your whole vacation!

What's better than free?  Seriously, I know it sounds too good to be true, but Disney is trying to push it's 2010 Adventures By Disney packages and as a result, they're giving away free Disney cruises if you book a 2010 Adventures By Disney itinerary.

What's Disney's park promotion for next year?

Disney announced it's park promotion for 2010, last week (this year's promotion is "What Will You Celebrate?" -- granting you a free one-day pass on your birthday).

Starting on January 1, 2010; you can sign up online with one of 70,000 organizations around the country to volunteer.  After you volunteer, you will receive a certificate to redeem at Walt Disney World or Disneyland for a free day at your choice of Disney Parks.

If you are booking a Disney World Package or are an Annual Passholder, you can still take advantage of this promotion with these options:

• Disney’s Special FASTPASS® card for certain attractions for themselves and up to five additional members of their party
