Just prior to it's official grand opening, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter invited a small number of guests for a red carpet event to celebrate the opening of the Wizarding World ofHarry Potter.
Many of the Harry Potter movie stars were in attendance, characters dressed in costumes directly from the movies roamed the streets and shops of Hogsmeade, food and drink -- including butter beer and pumpkin juice -- occupied every available corner as guests explored the new park from Universal Orlando.
Arriving by Owl Post, invitations fell from the sky asking for attendance at Hogwart's Castle gates where the Hogwart's Frog Choir welcomed everyone to the opening celebration. The stars of the Harry Potter movies, including Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Michael Gambon, Matthew Lewis, Bonnie Wright, Tom Felton, Matthew Lewis, James and Oliver Phelps, and Warwick Davis helped start the celebration with a spell to light up the castle and fireworks.
Finally, all were invited to experience Hogwart's Castle and the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride. A fantastic finale for the evening.
