A Disney wedding can occur anywhere at the Disney World Resort. Back in December, I had the opportunity to attend a Disney wedding at the Boardwalk Resort and the reception at Epcot.
The wedding occurred at a gazebo pavilion at the Boardwalk Resort. The Boardwalk and Swan served as the backdrop on one side and the Epcot Spaceship Earth on the other.
The happy new couple endured some rather cold Florida temps, but a beautiful ceremony, nonetheless. They spent some time getting photos taken around the Boardwalk, after the ceremony.
As we noted in our post, yesterday, the Disney wedding reception occurred at Epcot. Due to low temperatures, Disney Weddings moved the reception dinner indoors. We ate in a room above Norway in the World Showcase.
Almost all the pavilions in the World Showcase have some type of event room for conferences, receptions, and other events. It was a very nice room with excellent Disney food, as always.
The cake cutting and remainder of the reception occurred in the VIP seating area near the Italy pavilion. Here, the couple cut the Disney wedding cake, complete with hidden Mickey's all over the cake.
Finally, what better way to cap off a Disney wedding than with a VIP viewing of Illuminations.
Overall, a fantastic experience for the new bride and groom, as well as their guests.
