Thanksgiving at Disney World

Welcome back!

Happy Thanksgiving!  Hopefully, you are sitting at home or the home of a family member enjoying a nice, big turkey with all the fixins.  Maybe gathered around a nice, warm fire or the TV watching your favorite football team.

Hopefully, you're not at a Disney World theme park.  Thanksgiving is one of the busiest days of the year at the Disney World Resort.  I've been to Hollywood Studios, once, years and years ago on Thanksgiving Day to eat at the Brown Derby.  I don't remember it being that busy, but we just entered the park, went straight to the restaurant and straight out.  If you can avoid the parks on Thanksgiving and Christmas until New Year's, it's in your best interest to do so.  We understand this is when your children are out of school, but so is the rest of the country.

Even so, if you do visit the parks, it's one of the most beautiful times of the year in the parks with the decorations and in central Florida with the weather.  We've been to the Disney parks on many occasions during this time frame, both with and without kids and we've never been disappointed, in spite of the crowds.

Regardless, please take some time today to think about what you're thankful for.  We have a lot to be thankful for and appreciate each and every one of you that reads the blog, benefits from our guides, and loves Disney!  Have a fantastic holiday!
