When Do Disney Waterparks Close?

As crazy as this question sounds to us Floridians, many of our northern neighbors coming from temperatures below zero think a dip in 70-something degree water doesn't sound too bad.

Water parks in the Orlando area, such as Wet-N-Wild typically close for the winter, although they have been known to stay open, too.  It's really something you'd need to check with the individual water parks before you leave for your vacation.

Disney almost always keeps at least one of it's two water parks open at all times.  While Typhoon Lagoon may go down for re-hab work, Blizzard Beach will remain open during that period and vice-versa.  If you want to play at a specific Disney World water park, you should check with your travel agent or Disney before leaving on your vacation.

Additionally, Disney World Resorts keep their pools open and heated throughout the winter (with a few, occasional exceptions).  Many of the Moderate and Deluxe resort pools are like small water parks in and of themselves.

So, if you're one of those people that can handle the cold (well, cold for us) water -- there should be plenty of opportunity to get wet at Disney World and Orlando over the winter months.
