Well, the walls have come down around the old McDonald's fry location in Frontierland to debut the new Golden Oak Outpost quick-service eatery. One of the featured items on the menu is a new fried chicken sandwich -- sounds yummy and not-so-healthy -- but aren't the best foods at Disney World not-so-healthy (hello, giant smoked turkey leg)?
You can see from the line in the photo that the Outpost is already pretty popular. It is disappointing to lose the cool theming of the old quick-service location, with the broken wagon wheels and mud pit, but the new theming is quite good, also. There's also a great seating area on the far side of the building, quietly nestled in the shade (a very good thing, in Florida).
