Is there a resort in Disney World that is within walking distance of the Downtown Disney Marketplace?

While there technically is not a Walt Disney World Resort within walking distance of the Downtown Disney Marketplace (although Disney's Saratoga Springs would be the closest), the Downtown Disney hotels do have a couple that are within walking distance.

Almost equal distance from the Downtown Disney Marketplace, both the Downtown Disney Hilton and the Buena Vista Palace sit right across the street from the Marketplace.  While these hotels are not part of the Disney resorts, they offer many of the same benefits of the Disney resorts, including transportation to the Disney theme parks and Extra Magic Hours (in certain circumstances).

    Do you recommend staying at the BV Palace, we have reservations inside DW, but can't seem to bring myself to pay $220.00 a night for a regular room at Port Orleans.

  • I am staying at the Buena Vista Palace from May 14- May 18. I'm very excited to hear that it is in walking distance. I have Crystal Palace reservations at 8:05 am so getting to the park early on Friday morning is a big concern for us? What do you think is the quickest option to get us to the Magic kingdom for that 8:05 reservation?
  • I had the answer for this all in my head and then forgot to actually answer it! Sorry! Buena Vista Palace will have bus transportation to the parks that you can use, but it can be somewhat slow, due to the fact that it stops at other "Dowtown Disney" resorts. So, I would advise you to leave WELL in advance of your reservation or spend the money on a cab to make sure you get there on time.

    We changed to the Character Breakfast at the Grand Floridian on Sunday with Eva's grandparents for later in the day.
