This week, we'll be posting preview videos of the Toy Story Musical from the Disney Cruise. Today, we'll feature Sid's Song. This was Sid's aria during the musical and one of the best performance's throughout the musical. The song is energetic and rock-themed. It was the only time that the musical strayed from the family-friendly, happy theme to a darker place and added a good dose of drama to the overall presentation.
Sid's refrain of "The Da Vinci of destruction, the Van Gogh of violence, the Rembrandt of wreckage" spoke directly to Sid's character and motives. Sid destroys toys, tortures and mangles them and the actor's portrayal gave depth to this side of the story.
