Scheduled to open late in 2008, Disney says the attraction based on the hit animated series, Kim Possible, will be highly interactive, giving audience members a chance to become secret agents, teaming up with Team Possible to save the world from various villains.
The "attraction" will actually occur throughout the World Showcase, using highly interactive "Kimmunicators" that they can pick up at kiosks located throughout the park. The devices allow guests to control equipment in hidden locations within the World Showcase pavilions. Each pavilion will contain a different story-line with different villians. The attraction will involve seven of the World Showcase pavilions, including Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Japan, France, and the United Kingdom.
Bruce Vaughn, chief creative executive of Walt Disney Imagineering, had this to say about the new attraction:
Today’s emerging generation expects more immersive, personal and interactive experiences in every facet of their lives, including their entertainment choices. As leaders in family entertainment, Disney theme parks push the envelope by combining state-of-the-art technology with creative storytelling to enhance the overall Disney vacation experience.
This sounds like it will be an amazing attraction to experience at EPCOT with lots of intrigue, mystery, and excitement for the whole family. We can't wait to give this new adventure a try.
