In Orlando, we have several main roads that are toll roads. These toll roads can get quite congested right at the tolls. Most guests do not want to waste time in their cars waiting to pay a toll. There are several lanes on these toll roads that are strictly for SunPass users. The SunPass users have a transponder in their cars that allow them to go right through the toll roads without having to stop to pay a toll.
For Orlando visitors, you can now take advantage of the same SunPass service if you rent a car. Most rental car companies are now offering a transponder use fee. This is an optional fee to basically use the rental companies transponders to go through the toll roads. Anytime you go through a toll, the toll price is just added to your bill. You pay this extra charge once you drop off your rental car. This new service is a great way to save some time waiting in lines on the road.
