Today is one of the busiest days of the year at the Magic Kingdom Park. Many guests visiting today will need to arrive to this park right at opening to gain admission. This park almost always closes to capacity on New Years Eve.
If you are visiting Magic Kingdom Park today, you will also want to stay inside the park the whole day. If you leave Magic Kingdom and try to come back for the New Years fireworks later in the evening, you may not be able to get back in. Once this park closes to capacity, you will not be able to get into the park (even if you are staying at a Disney Resort). The safest bet is to stay at the park for the whole day.
Since this will be a busy and long day, be sure to relax to make the day more enjoyable. There are lots of little hidden areas around Magic Kingdom, perfect for a break away from the crazy crowds. One of our favorite locations is the Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station. You can grab a drink or lunch, and just sit out on the patio to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Cinderella's Castle. This is a more quiet location to relax for a few minutes before heading off to another attraction.
